dev@helloaether.comWho handles your information
Aether Holdings, based in the United States, operates Stockcastr and is responsible for the handling of personal information described here. For privacy questions or requests, contact dev@helloaether.com. You can use that address without signing in.
Information used by the service
Account and sign-in information includes your email address, the identifier supplied by the authentication service, verified sign-in claims, session information and account status. Supabase handles authentication. When you choose Google, Google provides the identity information described on its sign-in screen to Supabase. Stockcastr does not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files or contacts for sign-in.
Profile information includes your handle, an optional display name, forecasting interests, locale, time zone and visibility choices. We also keep the policy versions you accepted and the history of optional permissions you grant or withdraw.
Participation records include submissions, timestamps, question and resolution versions, results, points, reputation and any corrections. Account support, privacy requests, moderation decisions and security events create additional records needed to handle those matters.
Hosting and network providers process request metadata such as IP addresses and browser information to deliver and protect the service. Optional product analytics, when enabled with your permission, measure product interactions. They are separate from the operational processing needed to run the service.
Why information is used
Account information is used to sign you in, maintain your account, apply access controls and deliver account messages. Participation records are used to accept forecasts, resolve questions, calculate results, show your history and produce community statistics. Security and support records help investigate problems, prevent abuse and respond to requests.
Public visibility, newsletter attribution, research-dataset participation and product analytics each follow their own optional choice. Accepting the terms or reading this notice does not grant those permissions.
Where the applicable law requires a legal basis, account and forecasting functions rely on providing the service you request; security and abuse prevention rely on legitimate interests balanced against your rights; optional uses rely on your consent; and processing required by law relies on the relevant legal obligation. You can contact us to ask about a particular use or object where the applicable law allows.
Public information and research
Your account email and authentication identifiers are not part of the public profile or leaderboard. Public pages show only the information permitted for that feature and your visibility choices. Turning on one optional use does not automatically turn on the others.
Where research-dataset participation is offered, the separate permission controls eligible use of your contributions in that dataset workflow. Research exports are designed to exclude account contact details and provider identifiers. Removing direct identifiers is not a promise that every dataset is anonymous; any remaining personal-data use must have its own approved handling.
The public website may show community statistics and published question results. Withdrawing public visibility removes future authorized display of your identifiable profile information; it cannot necessarily remove copies already made independently by visitors.
Service providers and locations
Supabase provides authentication and database services; Northflank hosts the application. Google handles its own sign-in service when you choose it. Infrastructure, email and storage providers may process information to deliver the functions they support. Access within the application is limited by account ownership and staff permissions.
The application is hosted in Northflank's US East region. Our providers may operate in other countries, including for support and their own infrastructure. Where applicable law restricts a transfer, it requires an appropriate transfer mechanism and safeguards. Contact dev@helloaether.com for details about the providers and locations relevant to your information.
Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or when necessary and lawful to investigate misuse or protect people and the service. Optional commercial research use is governed separately; accepting the core account terms does not authorize an unrestricted sale of your personal information.
Cookies and browser storage
The browser stores information needed to maintain sign-in, complete the Google or email sign-in round trip, retain a requested return page and remember choices. Clearing that storage can sign you out or interrupt a sign-in attempt.
Optional product analytics stays subject to the site's privacy preferences. You can review those preferences from the footer. The analytics implementation also respects Global Privacy Control. Necessary security and session handling continue when optional analytics is declined.
Retention and account closure
Account and profile information is needed while the account is in use. Following a closure or deletion request, the operator reviews what can be removed, disconnected from your identity or must be retained for a specific lawful reason. Relevant criteria include the purpose of the record, unresolved support or abuse matters, required consent evidence and applicable legal obligations.
Forecast and correction history is not silently rewritten when an account closes. Any retention of personal links to that history still needs a defined purpose and lawful basis; technical immutability does not itself justify keeping personal information forever.
Deletion is not an instant purge of backups or third-party copies. Backup copies may remain until they expire under the relevant provider's retention schedule, with access restricted to recovery and operational needs. Contact us for the retention criteria and deletion handling relevant to a particular record or request.
Your choices and requests
Use Settings to review available profile and consent controls, sign out of sessions and submit account or privacy requests. An optional choice can be withdrawn without withdrawing unrelated choices. Withdrawal applies to future consent-based use and does not automatically make earlier lawful use unlawful.
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access or correct information, receive a portable copy, request erasure or restriction, object to certain processing, and complain to a data-protection authority. These rights can have conditions and exceptions. Contact dev@helloaether.com to make a request, including when you cannot sign in. We will handle it within the applicable legal time limit and explain any restriction or extension.
We may need to verify that a request concerns your own account before disclosing or changing information. Do not send a password, one-time sign-in code or access token with a request.
Scoring and updates to this notice
Scoring and eligibility rules can automatically affect your points, ranking or access to particular questions. Results depend on the question's published method and may be corrected. These features do not execute financial transactions for you. Use the available support or appeal process to dispute a result or restriction.
Material changes to this notice will be published with a new version and effective date. We will provide notice and seek a new choice where required before using information for a materially different optional purpose.
